The Voerstreek region is known for its beautiful hiking trails, but did you know that this unique region is also a true cycling paradise? Whether you enjoy strenuous climbs, leisurely e-bike rides, or challenging MTB trails, you will find it all here. Discover a region where cycling becomes a journey of discovery through hills, valleys, and three countries in a single day. Lubricate your chain, put on your helmet, and start pedaling toward your own adventure.

A network of possibilities

Cycling in the Voer region is based on the popular cycle junction system. Simply follow the blue rectangular signs from junction to junction to create your own route. Convenient and flexible. The Voeren network also connects seamlessly with those of Belgian and Dutch Limburg, the province of Liège, and even the East Cantons. One network, dozens of possibilities.

One of the unique advantages of the Voer region is its location at the border triangle. Thanks to smart route planning, you can easily cycle through Belgium, the Netherlands, and Germany in a single day. Imagine: morning coffee in Teuven, lunch in Gulpen, and a beer to finish off the day in Aachen.

Experience the landscape to the fullest

The Voer region is not flat terrain. On the contrary: the landscape undulates, dips, climbs, and winds its way through a green patchwork of meadows, orchards, forests, and historic villages.

Did you know?: The six most challenging bike climbs in Limburg are located here in the Voerstreek region. So if you’re cycling east, you can expect some tough climbs.

But don’t panic, with an electric bike even the steepest slopes become a Sunday stroll. And if you really want to take it easy, you can let yourself be carried along the Meuse towards Eijsden. The ferry will take you across in no time – a wonderful, flat trip without breaking a sweat.

Cycling routes for every level
